Job summary

RRecruiter in Singapore is seeking a Production Planner to develop and implement shop floor scheduling strategies to achieve forecasted throughput and meet customer demand. You will establish monthly WIP levels, production targets, and coordinate capacity across ingots and finished goods.

The role requires a degree in engineering and experience in production planning, with strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel and VBA is advantageous; knowledge of C++ is also a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to interpret production and capacity data.
• Experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, capacity planning, or similar environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; VBA is an advantage.
• Knowledge of C++ or other programming languages is an advantage.
• Team management or leadership experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement shop floor scheduling strategies to achieve planned production throughput and meet customer demand.
• Establish monthly WIP levels and production targets to meet DOH targets for ingots, WIP, and finished goods.
• Determine equipment capacity through time studies considering material flow and process requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve production capacity, material flow, and overall efficiency.
• Develop and monitor strategies to manage yield and process-time variations to meet production plans.
• Plan and schedule ingot growing activities based on product mix and capacity.
• Coordinate ingot deliveries to international manufacturing sites according to production and delivery schedules.

Job description

• Develop and implement shop floor scheduling strategies to achieve planned production throughput and meet customer demand.
• Establish monthly WIP levels and production targets to achieve globally defined inventory days-on-hand (DOH) targets for ingots, WIP, and finished goods.
• Determine equipment capacity through time studies, taking into consideration material flow, process requirements, product characteristics, and operational constraints.
• Identify and drive opportunities to improve production capacity, material flow, equipment utilization, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Develop, monitor, and continuously improve strategies to manage yield and process-time variations, ensuring production plans can meet customer demand.
• Plan and schedule ingot growing activities based on product mix, production requirements, and puller/equipment capacity.
• Coordinate and execute ingot deliveries to international manufacturing sites in accordance with production and delivery schedules.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, capacity planning, or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and product costing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret production and capacity data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel; experience with Excel VBA/Visual Basic is an advantage.
• Knowledge of C++ or other programming languages is an advantage.
• Team management or leadership experience will be an advantage.
