Eaton in Singapore is seeking a Material Planner to drive material planning and execution to support project delivery, customer orders, and service spare parts across East Asia. The role manages SIOP processes and coordinates with suppliers to optimize inventory while ensuring reliable commitments.

Material Planner is to driving material planning, execution to support project execution, customers and service requirements across East Asia. This role manages SIOP process and its associated metrics including inventory optimization, demand fulfillment, and supplier coordination to achieve customer commitments while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
Plan and manage material requirements to support project schedules, customer orders, and service spare requirements.
Execute supply planning activities based on customer forecasts, project schedules, and inventory targets.
Monitor material shortages and develop recovery plans to minimize production and delivery impact.
Review and maintain planning parameters, including lead times, safety stock, reorder points (ROP), and minimum order quantities.
Ensure timely purchase signals are generated through MRP systems.
Conduct regular MM, PIR and Source List maintenance in SAP
Monitor inventory levels to achieve inventory and working capital targets.
Analyze excess, slow-moving, obsolete (E&O), and aging inventory and develop action plans.
Support quarterly inventory reviews and inventory optimization initiatives.
Drive inventory reduction while maintaining required service levels.
Review inventory strategy for project stock, consignment stock, safety stock, and service spare inventory.
Collaborate with SCM and suppliers to ensure on-time material deliveries.
Follow up on critical suppliers to expedite material shortages and resolve delivery issues.
Monitor supplier performance and identify supply risks.
Coordinate material readiness for key customer projects and strategic opportunities.
Review customer forecasts and project demand for capacity and material readiness.
Participate in SIOP/S&OP planning processes.
Support project teams with material availability analysis and delivery commitments.
Coordinate material planning activities for major East Asia projects.
Work closely with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, and Project Management teams.
Communicate supply risks, inventory concerns, and recovery plans to stakeholders.
Escalate critical supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.
Prepare and analyze KPI reports related to: Inventory, Material shortages, Supplier OTD, Forecast accuracy, Excess & obsolete inventory
Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and system efficiency.
Participate in Continuous Improvement, and digital transformation initiatives.
At least Diploma in Supply chain, Engineering or any related field
At least 3 year experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain.
Very proficient in operating SAP MM module
Intermediate or higher level in using Excel software
Incoterm knowledge
Good process understanding of inbound from oversea supplier to destination and outbound from either our warehouse or supplier (in case of drop shipment) to customer destination
