Eaton in Singapore is seeking a Material Planner to drive material planning and execution to support project delivery and service requirements across East Asia.

You will manage demand, inventory, supplier coordination, and cross‑functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Sales and Finance, while maintaining healthy stock levels.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering, supply chain, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Material Planning or Supply Chain.
• Very proficient in SAP MM module.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good knowledge of Incoterms.
• Understanding of inbound/outbound processes from overseas suppliers to customers.

• Monitor shortages and develop recovery plans to minimize production and delivery impact.

• Participate in SIOP planning and support project material readiness and capacity planning.

What you’ll do:

Material Planner is to driving material planning, execution to support project execution, customers and service requirements across East Asia. This role manages SIOP process and its associated metrics including inventory optimization, demand fulfillment, and supplier coordination to achieve customer commitments while maintaining healthy inventory levels.

A. Material & Supply Planning

• Plan and manage material requirements to support project schedules, customer orders, and service spare requirements.
• Execute supply planning activities based on customer forecasts, project schedules, and inventory targets.
• Monitor material shortages and develop recovery plans to minimize production and delivery impact.
• Review and maintain planning parameters, including lead times, safety stock, reorder points (ROP), and minimum order quantities.
• Ensure timely purchase signals are generated through MRP systems.
• Conduct regular MM, PIR and Source List maintenance in SAP

B. Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels to achieve inventory and working capital targets.
• Analyze excess, slow-moving, obsolete (E&O), and aging inventory and develop action plans.
• Support quarterly inventory reviews and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Drive inventory reduction while maintaining required service levels.
• Review inventory strategy for project stock, consignment stock, safety stock, and service spare inventory.

C. Supplier & Material Management

• Collaborate with SCM and suppliers to ensure on-time material deliveries.
• Follow up on critical suppliers to expedite material shortages and resolve delivery issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and identify supply risks.
• Coordinate material readiness for key customer projects and strategic opportunities.
• Maintain Vendor master data in SAP.

D. Demand & Project Support

• Review customer forecasts and project demand for capacity and material readiness.
• Participate in SIOP/S&OP planning processes.
• Support project teams with material availability analysis and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate material planning activities for major East Asia projects.

E. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, and Project Management teams.
• Communicate supply risks, inventory concerns, and recovery plans to stakeholders.
• Escalate critical supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.

F. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare and analyze KPI reports related to: Inventory, Material shortages, Supplier OTD, Forecast accuracy, Excess & obsolete inventory
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and system efficiency.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement, and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Material Planning or Supply Chain.
• Very proficient in operating the SAP MM module.
• Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good knowledge of Incoterms.
• Good understanding of inbound processes from overseas suppliers to destination locations and outbound processes from either company warehouses or suppliers (drop shipment) to customer destinations.
