Job summary

Everllence is seeking an experienced welder for workshop, marine, and offshore environments in Singapore. You will perform SMAW, GTAW, MIG, and TIG welding on various metals, following drawings and welding symbols for accurate fabrication and repairs.

You will prepare materials, inspect welds, and ensure adherence to procedures and safety standards. Travel to customer sites and shipyards may be required, with boarding of vessels under marine safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years welding experience in workshop, marine, or industrial setting.
  • Certified in confined space entry, hot work, or working at height.
  • Familiarity with offshore or marine welding standards (ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register).

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations using SMAW, GTAW, MIG, and TIG on metals including carbon steel, stainless steel, and cast iron.
  • Follow work instructions, drawings, and welding symbols to ensure correct fabrication and repairs.
  • Prepare materials: cleaning, fit-up, and alignment for welding.
  • Inspect own welds visually and prep pieces for quality inspection.
  • Carry out basic cutting, grinding, and finishing work as part of welding tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with welding procedures, project specs, and safety requirements.
  • Complete welding job reports and related documentation.
  • Maintain welding tools, machines, and workspace following 5S.
  • Support workshop and site operations as instructed by Foreman.
  • Travel to customer sites, shipyards, or vessels for on-site welding; board vessels per safety protocols.
  • Comply with Singapore WSH Act and company HSE policies; participate in safety briefings and risk assessments.
  • Report unsafe acts, near misses, or incidents promptly; assist site audits.

Job description

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Perform welding operations using processes such as SMAW, GTAW, MIG, and TIG on various metals including carbon steel, stainless steel, and cast iron.
  • Follow work instructions, technical drawings, and welding symbols to ensure correct fabrication and repairs.
  • Conduct pre-weld preparation activities including material cleaning, fit-up, and alignment.
  • Inspect own welds visually and prepare workpieces for quality inspection by supervisors or quality personnel.
  • Carry out basic cutting, grinding, and finishing work as part of welding and fabrication tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with welding procedures, project specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Complete welding job reports and related documentation as required.
  • Maintain welding tools, machines, and work area in good condition following 5S standards.
  • Support workshop and site operations as instructed by the Foreman or Assistant Foreman.
  • Travel to customer sites, shipyards, or vessels to perform on-site welding works, including boarding of vessels while adhering to marine and offshore safety protocols.
  • Comply with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and company HSE policies at all times.
  • Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
  • Report any unsafe acts, near misses, or incidents promptly.
  • Support site audits and inspections when required by regulatory bodies or internal stakeholders.
Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of welding experience in a workshop, marine, or industrial setting.
  • Skilled in at least one or more welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, MIG,TIG).
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions under minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for site welding jobs, including boarding ships or working in shipyards.
    Experience with welding marine engine components or similar heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with offshore or marine welding standards (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register).
  • Certified in confined space entry, hot work, or working at height.
