You willdevelop client relationships and execute physical biofuel brokerage transactions, providing market insights and managing trade execution to drivebusiness growth in renewable energy markets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with biofuel producers, traders, refiners, distributors, and industrial consumers to expand the client portfolio
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow revenue streams
- Serve as the primary client contact for physical biofuel transactions, ensuring trust through market insights and effective execution
- Match buyers and sellers of physical biofuel products by negotiating pricing, volume, delivery schedules, and payment terms
- Execute brokerage transactions in compliance with company policies and market regulations, including spot, term contract, and structured physical trades
- Monitor global and regional biofuel markets, including biodiesel (FAME), renewable diesel (HVO), sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), ethanol, feedstocks, and renewable energy markets
- Track market fundamentals such as supply-demand dynamics, freight costs, inventory levels, and regulatory developments to inform trading strategies
- Provide timely market updates and trading ideas to clients to support informed decision‑making
- Coordinate with operations,logistics, and counterparties to ensure smooth trade execution and resolve contractual or delivery issues
- Monitor the trade lifecycle from negotiation through final delivery, maintaining accurate trade records and documentation
- Ensure all brokerage activities comply with applicable regulations and company policies, including sustainability certification schemes and renewable fuel compliance
- Support Know Your Customer (KYC) and counterparty due diligence processes to mitigate risk
- Leverage an existing portfolio of clients and industry contacts to drive immediate brokerage activity and revenue generation.
- Expand and deepen relationships across biofuel producers, traders, refiners, distributors, shipping companies, airlines, and end‑users.
- Proactively identify new counterparties and trading opportunities within regional and global biofuels markets.
- Develop strategic relationships with key decision‑makers across the value chain.
- Maintain regular engagement with market participants to identify supply, demand, and arbitrage opportunities.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and market‑sensitive data
- Contribute intelligence on renewable fuel policies and their market impacts to enhance client advisory services
Requiredcompetencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Energy Management, Supply Chain, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commodity brokerage, energy trading, biofuels trading, or related physical commodities markets
- Experience in physical energy, renewable fuels, agricultural commodities, or environmental products
- Familiarity with European, Asian,and global renewable fuel markets
