Job summary

ACHIEVE CAREER CONSULTANT PTE LTD, on behalf of a leading Energy & Commodities firm in Singapore, seeks an Oil Broker to drive physical and derivative transactions and build a strong client base across APAC.

You will develop relationships with traders, monitor market developments, and coordinate with internal desks to capitalize cross-market opportunities while maintaining compliant records.

Qualifications

• Experience in oil, energy, or commodity brokerage or related commercial role.
• Existing network with oil majors or trading houses is a plus.
• Strong commercial instincts to originate and develop clients.

Responsibilities

• Broker physical and derivative transactions across oil, refined products and energy markets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with traders, trading houses, oil majors, refiners and market participants.
• Identify trading interest, liquidity and deal opportunities with clients.
• Facilitate negotiations and support transactions through to execution.
• Provide market intelligence, pricing indications, trade flows and developments.
• Monitor global oil markets, supply-demand fundamentals, price movements and geopolitics.
• Build an active client portfolio across Singapore and APAC energy market.
• Coordinate with internal brokers and international desks to spot cross-market opportunities.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance.

Established Energy & Commodities Firm Strong Regional Market Presence Our client, an established firm within the energy & commodities sector, has an opportunity for a driven individual to join the Team as an Oil Broker.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Broker physical and/or derivative transactions across oil, refined products and energy markets
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with traders, trading houses, oil majors, refiners and other market participants
• Actively engage clients to identify trading interest, liquidity and potential deal opportunities
• Facilitate negotiations between buyers and sellers and support transactions through to execution
• Provide clients with timely market intelligence, pricing indications, trade flows and market developments
• Monitor global oil markets, supply-demand fundamentals, price movements and geopolitical developments
• Build and expand an active portfolio of clients across Singapore and the wider APAC energy market
• Work closely with internal brokers and international desks to identify cross-market opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior experience in oil, energy, commodities brokerage, trading or a closely related commercial role
• Existing network within oil majors, trading houses, refiners or commodity trading firms would be highly advantageous
• Strong commercial instincts with the confidence to originate and develop new client relationships.
