Job summary

National University Polyclinics in Singapore seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing medications and ensuring safe, timely distribution of drugs. You will assist the pharmacist in-charge to supervise staff and coordinate activities to maintain smooth workflow and continuous improvement.

Key duties include dispensing, processing orders, picking/packing/labeling, medication reconciliation, billing, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) OR Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science OR foreign Pharmacy degree (not recognized by Singapore Pharmacy Council)
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team
• Able to prioritize and organize work well

Responsibilities

• Perform simple dispensing of medication in accordance with legal requirements and service standards.
• Processing medication orders
• Picking, packing and labelling of medicines in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Perform the following medication reconciliation steps: counting, sorting and typing of prescriptions
• Performs simple review and interventions for selected drug groups
• Perform billing functions
• Provide professional and courteous service to all patients/customers
• Ensure stocks are stocked up properly and tidily according to FEST-in-First-Out requirement and stipulate storage conditions
• Carry out cycle counts and stock accurately and accordingly to the Standard Operating Procedures
• Comply with medication safety practices in the pharmacy
• Involve in quality improvement projects when required

Requirements

• Possess Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) OR Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science OR foreign Pharmacy degree (not recognized by Singapore Pharmacy Council)
