Job summary

WSP Asia is seeking a Permitting Officer in Singapore to manage regulatory submissions and approvals for projects. You will coordinate with authorities such as BCA, URA, LTA, PUB, NEA and SCDF to ensure timely permits.

You will work with consulting engineers, architects, and project teams to align drawings and documentation with Singapore codes, maintain records, and support audits and inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Building, Architecture, or related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of permitting/submission experience within Singapore’s built environment sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore regulatory processes and authorities (BCA, URA, CORENET, etc.).
  • Familiarity with e-submission systems such as CORENET / CORENET X.
  • Good coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

This role ensures compliance with local authority requirements and supports project teams by facilitating timely approvals from agencies such as BCA, URA, LTA, PUB, NEA, and SCDF

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Area:

  • Prepare, submit, and follow up on permit applications via relevant platforms (e.g., CORENET, e-Submission portals)
  • Liaise with government authorities including BCA, URA, LTA, PUB, NEA, SCDF, and other statutory boards to secure necessary approvals
  • Coordinate with consultants (e.g., QP, architects, engineers) to ensure submission drawings and documents meet regulatory requirements
  • Monitor submission timelines and approval statuses to ensure project milestones are met
  • Review project documentation for compliance with Singapore codes and regulations
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of all submissions, approvals, and correspondences
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on regulatory processes and permit requirements
  • Track regulatory changes and ensure project compliance with updated legislation
  • Support audits, inspections, and authority queries related to permitting matters
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Building, Architecture, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in permitting/submission roles within Singapore’s built environment sector
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore regulatory processes and authorities (BCA, URA, CORENET, etc.)
  • Familiarity with e-submission systems such as CORENET / CORENET X
  • Good coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational ability
  • Well-versed with 2D and 3D design software and technologies, such as AutoCAD, Revit
  • Candidates from consultancy, architectural, project management, or contractor backgrounds with experience in project coordination, design coordination, authority submissions, or permitting activities are encouraged to apply.
