Job summary

WSP Asia seeks a Lead Engineer (CS) in Singapore to plan and direct research and development work on complex projects, engaging design teams and the client in the development process.

You will lead detailed design for bridges, tunnels, and geotechnical works, coordinate with clients and authorities, and guide junior staff to ensure quality and timely delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or equivalent recognized by PE Board of Singapore
• Minimum 7 years relevant experience
• Exposure to geotechnical, concrete/steel structures or soil-structure interactions
• Knowledge of engineering design software and analytical tools

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed design in Bridge/Tunnel, Underground Excavation and Tunnelling works
• Coordinate with Client, Consultants, Contractor and authorities for design support
• Checker to obtain approval of design and drawings
• Analyze structural components using engineering software
• Manage projects to ensure quality, on-time delivery and within budget

Purpose:

· Plans and directs research or development work on complex projects, along with engaging various parties in design and development.

Key Responsibility Areas

Responsibilities:

• Undertake detailed design in one or more of the following fields of expertise:Bridge/Tunnel, Underground Excavation and Tunnelling works
• Execution of projects and liaison with the Client, Client’s Consultants, Contractor, and authorities to provide technical support for design
• Checker to obtain approval of design and drawings
• Analysis of structural components using various engineering software
• Manage the projects to ensure quality work, delivery of projects on time and within budget
• Review design and execute the design work to ensure its quality and submission deadlines are met
• Provide guidance to the junior staff

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or its equivalent that is recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
• Minimum 7 years relevant experience
• Good exposure in the analysis and design of geotechnical works, concrete structures, steel structures, civil works, or soil-structure interactions
• Good knowledge of the various engineering design software and analytical tools
• Applicant who has lesser experience will consider for Engineer role
