Job summary

Cornerstone Global Partners PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Performance Test Engineer to lead performance testing across the software lifecycle.

You will plan, execute and analyse tests, identify bottlenecks and collaborate with developers to improve application performance and stability. Requirements include 8+ years in performance testing, hands-on LoadRunner experience, and strong knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus and Splunk.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to support performance testing and engineering activities across the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing and analysing performance tests, identifying system bottlenecks, and working closely with technical stakeholders to improve application performance and stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute performance testing activities, including benchmark, load, stress, endurance and other non-functional testing.
• Develop performance test strategies, test plans, workload models, test cases and test estimates.
• Set up and manage performance test environments and test data.
• Execute performance tests using Micro Focus LoadRunner / Performance Center.
• Work with relevant performance testing protocols, including Web HTTP/HTML, TruClient and Web Services.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using tools such as Geneos, Grafana, Prometheus, BMC TrueSight and Splunk.
• Analyse application logs and system behaviour to identify performance issues and technical bottlenecks.
• Analyse CPU utilisation, memory usage, network utilisation, garbage collection and database parameters/reports to assess application performance.
• Identify issues such as memory leaks, connection problems and application bottlenecks, and facilitate timely resolution.
• Analyse performance testing requirements and work with stakeholders to define effective production-like performance requirements.
• Collaborate with developers and technical teams to incorporate performance engineering practices throughout the SDLC and identify potential performance issues early.
• Prepare performance test results, detailed status reports and defect/issue tracking updates, and obtain appropriate stakeholder sign-off.
• Follow up on outstanding technical issues and coordinate with relevant teams to drive resolution.
• Support performance engineering activities across Agile, on-premises and cloud environments, including OCP and AWS.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in performance testing and performance engineering.
• Strong experience in performance test planning, estimation, strategy, workload design, test case design, test environment setup, test data preparation and defect management.
• Hands-on experience with Micro Focus LoadRunner / Performance Center.
• Hands-on experience with Web HTTP/HTML, TruClient and Web Services protocols.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Geneos, Grafana, Prometheus, BMC TrueSight and Splunk.
• Hands-on experience in Java.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and on-premises and cloud architecture.
• Experience with OCP and AWS environments.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good time-management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with developers, technical teams and stakeholders in a problem-solving environment.
