Job summary

CIMB Bank Berhad in Singapore seeks a seasoned HR professional to lead end-to-end Performance Management, HRIS 2.0 rollout and major HR projects. You will guide HODs, people managers and HR partners on performance expectations, calibration and process requirements, and ensure governance and regulatory compliance across the Singapore unit.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level qualification in HR/Business/Law/Psychology or related field.
  • Extensive experience in performance management and HR systems.
  • Experience in financial services, HR tech implementations and cross-functional PM/Change Mgmt would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end performance management cycle: objective setting, mid-year and year-end reviews, calibration, governance and completion tracking.
  • Own HRIS 2.0 rollout: requirements gathering, data validation, UAT, cutover and post-go-live stabilisation.
  • Manage HR projects with the Head of HR Services: plans, milestones, governance, risk and issue logs.
  • Support industrial relations, employee relations and disciplinary matters, including investigations and documentation as needed.
  • Provide guidance to HODs, managers and HR partners on performance expectations and calibration.

Job description

Performance Management
  • Performance Management: Lead the end-to-end performance management cycle for CIMB Singapore, including objective setting, mid-year and year-end reviews, performance calibration, governance, communications and completion tracking.
  • Act as the local subject matter expert and custodian for performance management policies, frameworks, standards and procedures, ensuring alignment with Group direction and Singapore business requirements.
  • Provide guidance to HODs, people managers, HR Business Partners and employees on performance expectations, rating differentiation, calibration, performance conversations and process requirements.
  • Analyse performance outcomes, trends and exceptions; prepare dashboards and management insights to support talent, reward and workforce decisions.
  • Partner relevant HR teams to ensure appropriate linkage between performance outcomes, talent review, 360 leadership feedback, succession planning, development, recognition and reward processes.
  • Liaise closely with the rewards team and Head of HR Services for the annual review compensation cycle
HRIS 2.0 Rollout:
  • Lead and coordinate the CIMB Singapore workstream for HRIS 2.0, working with Group HR, Technology, vendors and local stakeholders to deliver agreed milestones.
  • Coordinate requirements gathering, process review, data validation, user acceptance testing, issue resolution, readiness assessment, communications, training, cutover and post-go-live stabilisation.
  • Ensure local regulatory, policy, operational and user requirements are appropriately considered in system design and implementation decisions.
  • Prepare regular status update reports on HRIS roll-out regionally
HR Project Management:
  • Lead or coordinate key HR projects assigned by the Head of HR Services, including the development of project plans, milestones, governance, risk and issue logs, stakeholder updates and implementation tracking.
  • Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, stronger controls and improved employee experience across HR Services.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure responsibilities are discharged in accordance with applicable laws, regulatory expectations, Bank policies, Group standards and internal control requirements.
  • Undertake other duties and HR projects that are consistent with the role and may be assigned from time to time
  • Support the Head of HR Services in overseeing the management of industrial relations, employee relations and disciplinary matters, including fact-finding, investigations, grievance handling and case documentation on a need basis.

  • As a secondary role, support the Head of HR Services in overseeing the management of industrial relations, employee relations and disciplinary matters, including fact-finding, investigations, grievance handling and case documentation on a need basis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Law, Psychology or a related discipline.
  • At least 10–12 years of relevant HR experience, with strong practical exposure to performance management and HR systems. Experience in financial services, HR technology implementation and Project Management /Change Management cross-functional project delivery would be advantageous.
Technical/Functional Skills
  • Strong knowledge of performance management frameworks, calibration and governance.
  • Sound knowledge of Singapore employment practices and disciplinary case management principles.
  • Strong investigation, case analysis, documentation and report-writing capabilities.
  • Proven project management, change management, process improvement and HRIS implementation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate workforce data into clear management insights.

  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, facilitation and conflict-resolution skills.
