Job summary

GlobalFoundries Singapore is seeking a Design Enablement Engineer to develop design components for the Device library of PDKs and to deploy, support, and maintain PDK collections of tech files and runtime code readable by EDA tools.

You will also develop automation tools representing the Fab process and review process design rules and SPICE models to generate accurate PDK specifications; create test cases and perform QA checks for DRC/LVS, and craft release notes to communicate usage and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field.
• 7 years of experience in semiconductor and/or EDA industries.
• Master’s degree preferred in related fields.
• Strong knowledge of electronic devices and semiconductor theory.
• Experience with CAD systems in Electronics (Cadence IC, Cadence OrCAD, Protel or similar).
• Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Tcl, Bash).
• Exposure to Cadence IC (Virtuoso Layout, Schematic or Cadence Skill programming language).
• Unix/Linux experience is a plus.
• Knowledge in ML or GenAI is advantageous.
• Knowledge in Cadence Skill and pcell development is a plus.
• Excellent technical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing design components for Device library of PDKs.
• Develop, deploy, support, maintain PDK collections and runtime code for EDA tools.
• Develop, deploy, support, maintain automation tools representing the Fab process.
• Review and interpret process design rules and SPICE model documents to create PDK specifications.
• Create and maintain test cases for Process Design Kits/DRC/LVS and perform QA checks.
• Create and update release notes and application notes documenting limitations, issues, and solutions.
• Collaborate with innovators and contribute ideas that could lead to trade secrets or patents.
• Perform all activities safely and support EH&S requirements.
