Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our eServ team in Singapore. You will manage end-to-end payroll for 500+ staff, ensure correct HRIS-to-payroll data flow, and collaborate with HR partners to deliver accurate salary payments.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, process improvements, and potential cross-training into broader payroll functions. Strong Excel and SAP skills, plus an affinity for AI-enabled workflows, are highly valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in end-to-end payroll and/or claims processing, with SAP knowledge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and partner interactions.
• Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail in data handling.
• Experience with AI/workflow automation is a plus and highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for cycles including 500+ headcount and pro-ration for hires/resignations.
• Ensure data interfaces between HRIS and Payroll System are accurate for timely salary payments.
• Submit CPF/NS, leave claims, transport and medical claims; verify bank details and generate payroll GL.
• Coordinate with HR partners to retrieve data for pay elements and respond to queries.
• Identify data inaccuracies, propose improvements, and support system enhancements.
• Maintain secured payroll archives for audits and compliance.
• Cross-train for broader payroll responsibilities and contribute to process improvements.

You will be required to work in a team to process refunds payroll for multiple cycles (main & off-cycle). At the same time, you will also facilitate to ensure that data interfaced from HR Information System to the Payroll System are accurate to ensure accurate and timely salary pay-outs. Where required, you will be required to provide feedback and highlight improvements to the systems to enhance operational effectiveness.

Process – Process end-to-end payroll for an organisation with a headcount of 500 or more, including but not limited to, pro-ration of salary for new hires and resignees, submission of monthly CPF and refunds, submission of NS and Government Paid Leave claims, processing transport/dental claims from employees, ensuring accuracy of bank details and timely submission of bank files,providing payroll GL to the finance team for reconciliation.

Coordinate – Correspond with HR business partners to retrieve data and inputs necessary for relevant pay elements.

Investigate – Report data inaccuracies in payroll systems and report to managers and clients for advice. Highlight and recommend improvements and solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Audit – Maintain a secured archival of payroll files to support annual and ad-hoc audit exercises.

Communicate – Provide clear and concise responses to any queries raised through email by employees and/or clientsin a professional manner to achieve positive customer experience.

Qualities We Value

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Levels, ‘A’ Levels or Diploma
• Minimum 3 years of experience in end-to-end payroll and/or claims processing, preferably with knowledge of SAP systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, minimally Intermediate level
