Job summary

Our Client, a global payments technology provider, seeks a Software Test Engineer to ensure system reliability across transaction processing and customer lifecycle workflows.

Responsibilities include executing functional, integration, and user acceptance testing, validating end-to-end workflows, and supporting certification with external networks and partners. You will investigate defects and coordinate resolutions with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in payment or transaction-based systems.
• Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles, account structures, and financial workflows.
• Familiarity with testing tools, defect tracking systems, and API testing.
• Working knowledge of SQL or similar for data validation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional, integration, and user acceptance testing across payment systems.
• Validate end-to-end workflows including onboarding, transaction processing, billing, fraud controls, and account management.
• Perform testing on transaction messaging flows and backend processing logic.
• Support certification and compliance testing with external networks and partners.
• Investigate defects, coordinate resolution, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Work closely with development, business, and QA teams to ensure alignment on testing scope and outcomes.
• Develop and execute test cases, and maintain documentation using standard tools.
• Perform data validation and analysis using database queries.
• Support system integration testing using APIs and related tools.
• Contribute to reporting, documentation, and go-live readiness activities.
