Job summary

Farrer Park Hospital Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Patient Service Officer to ensure smooth front desk operations from admission to discharge while delivering excellent patient care and support to families.

The role includes patient registration, medical billing, and handling insurance claims with attention to accuracy and service quality. The successful candidate will manage cashiering, payments, and enquiries, with flexibility for shift work including weekends and PH and night shifts in a busy

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years healthcare experience preferred.
• Familiar with basic medical terminology.
• Good command of English.
• Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate and numerate.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for outpatient, inpatient and/or surgical day care services and prepare admission documents.
• Provide financial counselling on hospital bills based on estimated length of stay.
• Process procedure orders, verify charges and generate bills for payment.
• Submit Medisave, Medishield and/or insurance claims and follow up on payment.
• Attend to telephone and walk-in enquiries and provide directions, escalating to senior staff when needed.
• Perform shift duties including weekends, public holidays and night shifts.
• Any other duties as assigned.
