Job summary

Alexandra Hospital, Singapore is seeking a Patient Service Associate to provide friendly and efficient customer service in a hospital setting. The role involves ensuring operational readiness, assisting patients with registrations and appointments, and providing administrative support to the clinic manager.

The ideal candidate should have at least "O" Levels/Diploma, possess good communication skills, and be comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

This is a 2-year contract role with a 5-day work week. Only Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents may apply.

Job description

As a Patient Service Associate, you will deliver friendly and efficient customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all internal and external customers / patients, with the key aim of providing excellent patient care and satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure clinic’s operational and procedural area readiness based on desired service standards.
• Assist with smooth patient journey including accurate and timely registration, discharge, appointment bookings, cashiering and any other enquiries such as insurance provider’s information for billing.
• Provide chaperone assistance to doctors/nurses and prepare consultation documents.
• Attend to any requests, emails, and phone enquiries.
• Assist clinic manager in administrative duties.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least “O” Levels/Diploma.
• Proficient in computer skills, handling multiple systems will be an advantage.
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak a second language will be an advantage.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates should be comfortable/flexible with working in a hospital setting and in different clinics when needed. Prior experience in hospitality or service industries will be an advantage.
• Be comfortable with working in inpatient wards if required.

5-day work week (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm or 8:30am to 6pm, depending on the respective hiring clinic)

This is a 2-year contract role, subject to contract extension or permanent conversion based on satisfactory work performance.
