Job summary

SingHealth Integrated Pathology Services (SIPS) is seeking a Senior Principal Medical Laboratory Scientist to provide expert scientific, operational, and technical leadership across the SingHealth cluster. You will drive harmonisation of laboratory practices and support health screening programmes.

You will work with Academic Chair and laboratory heads to shape a future-ready pathology service for Singapore, including digitisation and cross-institutional projects.

Qualifications

• PhD, MSc or degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or related.
• Strong analytical, communication and project management capabilities.
• Experience with LIS/EMR systems and cross-institutional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in laboratory standards, governance and operations across SingHealth institutions.
• Lead cluster-wide integration of blood bank services, aligning testing platforms and workflows.
• Guide population health and health screening programme laboratory support, including validation and performance monitoring.
• Contribute to new pathology service development with workload analysis and capacity planning.
• Support the digital pathology roadmap, enabling workflow redesign and data integration.
• Develop competency frameworks, training roadmaps and succession plans for technical tracks.
• Assist in capital equipment planning, platform evaluation and resource optimisation.
