Job summary

Vault Personnel Pte. Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Baker to oversee all baked goods and desserts for the Café, acting as Director of Quality to ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety.

The role includes designing recipes, training staff, managing inventory, and ensuring on-time deliveries and exceptional customer service. You will maintain recipes and cost controls while preserving quality across daily production and display of finished pastries.

Qualifications

• Maintain baking recipes and ensure all items are sold at 30% or lower Food Cost.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform monthly inventory with the Kitchen Manager.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve recipes
• Measure and combine ingredients and use mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as cookies, bread, cakes, etc.
• Decorate and display finished products
• Test ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls
• Greet customers, answer questions, make recommendations, accept orders and payments and provide exceptional customer service
• Keep records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels
• Take client information and ensure that deliveries are fulfilled accurately and on time
• Clean and restock workstations and ensure that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift
• Lead all staff training and ensure new staff receive proper attention and follow proper procedures for handling baked items and desserts
• Monitor kitchen to ensure proper use of product and inventory control while keeping waste to a minimum

About the role

In charge of all baked goods and desserts. Be the Director of Quality by ensuring highest quality foods are prepared and served. A Baker's main duty is preparing baked goods and desserts for the Café and serving of daily meals, followed by kitchen support and shift relief.
