Job summary

INTER-ORIENTAL (THOMAS LAI) ASIA PACIFIC PTE LTD is seeking a Part-Time Operations Executive to support import/export operations and trade documentation from its Admiralty/Sembawang area base.

The role involves coordinating with warehouses, banks, suppliers and customers; handling LC documents, bills of lading, invoices and packing lists; and monitoring shipments and costs with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in import/export operations and trade documentation is essential.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
• Experience with LC documentation and international trade procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with warehouses, freight forwarders, suppliers and customers to ensure smooth import/export operations.
• Prepare, check and process Letters of Credit (LC) and related trade documentation.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents including Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists, insurance documents and origin and customs documents.
• Liaise with banks on LC documentation, amendments and discrepancies.
• Monitor shipment schedules, delivery status and inventory movements.
• Minimise logistics costs including demurrage, storage and transportation charges.
• Provide customers and sales team with order status, shipping schedules and documentation.
• Assist with inventory control, stock counts, invoice verification and operational reporting.
• Support local deliveries, exports and other day-to-day logistics activities.
