Job summary

CWMW PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Part-Time Senior Accountant / Finance Manager to oversee full-set accounting, financial reporting and forecasting.

You will manage month-end closes, budgeting, cash flow and financial analysis, while coordinating with external auditors and tax advisers. Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant accounting or financial management experience.
  • At least three years of experience independently managing full-set accounts, management reporting, financial forecasting, financial statements and external audits.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a complete and accurate full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, expenses and bank transactions.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset schedules and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review invoices, payment requests, expense claims, contracts and supporting documents.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile customer and supplier accounts.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables, payables and payment due dates.
  • Maintain complete and properly organised accounting records and supporting documents.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and management reports.
  • Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Analyse revenue, costs, gross margin, operating expenses and project profitability.
  • Perform budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variance analysis.
  • Identify accounting irregularities, unusual transactions and potential financial risks.
  • Present financial results and provide clear explanations to the Director.
  • Provide financial analysis to support management and business decisions.
  • Prepare annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts.
  • Prepare short-term and medium-term cash flow forecasts.
  • Forecast customer receipts, supplier payments, operating expenses and funding requirements.

Part-Time Senior Accountant / Finance Manager

Location: Singapore


Work Arrangement: Part-time, approximately two days per week on-site


Reporting To: Director


Key Responsibilities

Full-Set Accounting and Financial Management


  • Maintain a complete and accurate full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, expenses and bank transactions.

  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closing.

  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset schedules and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Review invoices, payment requests, expense claims, contracts and supporting documents.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile customer and supplier accounts.

Budgeting and Financial Forecasting


  • Prepare annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts.

  • Prepare short-term and medium-term cash flow forecasts.

  • Forecast customer receipts, supplier payments, operating expenses and funding requirements.

  • Develop and maintain revenue, cost and profitability forecast models.

  • Regularly update forecasts based on actual financial performance.

  • Assist the Director in cash flow planning, payment prioritisation and financial decision-making.


Financial Statements, Audit and Tax Coordination


  • Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable Singapore financial reporting requirements.

  • Prepare audit schedules, account reconciliations and supporting documents.

  • Act as the principal finance contact for the company's external auditors.

  • Respond to audit queries and follow up on audit adjustments and outstanding matters.

  • Liaise with external tax advisers on corporate income tax, GST and other tax matters.

  • Ensure that audit, tax and statutory reporting deadlines are properly monitored and completed on time.


Banking and Payment Administration


  • Liaise directly with the company's relationship managers and banking representatives.

  • Handle bank KYC reviews, due diligence requests and transaction-related enquiries.

  • Prepare financial statements, contracts, invoices, transaction explanations and source-of-funds or use-of-funds documents requested by banks.

  • Follow up on bank account maintenance, authorised user changes and banking documentation.

  • Prepare and upload salary payments, supplier payments, taxes and other authorised payments.

  • Where authorised, act as an online banking Maker in accordance with the company's Maker-Approver controls.

  • Ensure that every payment is supported by appropriate invoices, contracts and internal approvals.

  • Report unusual banking activities, unreconciled transactions or documentation issues promptly to the Director.


Corporate Secretarial and Statutory Coordination


  • Liaise with the company's appointed corporate secretarial firm.

  • Coordinate ACRA annual returns, directors' and shareholders' resolutions and updates to company information.

  • Assist with changes relating to directors, shareholders, registered office, shareholding and corporate structure.

  • Coordinate information and document requests among the Director, corporate secretary, auditors, tax advisers and banks.

  • Maintain a compliance calendar for statutory, audit and tax filing deadlines.


Internal Controls and Confidentiality


  • Assist in establishing and maintaining appropriate financial, payment and document-control procedures.

  • Safeguard confidential information, including bank balances, transaction records, customer and supplier information, employee salaries and management reports.

  • Use company financial information only for authorised business purposes.

  • Comply with the company's policies regarding banking tokens, company devices, accounting records and confidential documents.

  • Perform banking, payroll and other sensitive financial work through company-designated systems and equipment at the company's office.

  • Maintain a high standard of professional integrity, confidentiality and accountability.
