Job summary

Julia Gabriel Centre Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a passionate Mandarin educator to support the teaching team, deliver engaging lessons, and develop programmes that enrich students' learning. You will build strong relationships with parents and contribute to the Centre's Mandarin curriculum.

The role involves teaching Mandarin classes, leading and supervising staff, participating in meetings, and helping to implement new programmes while ensuring excellent student outcomes and a positive classroom

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Chinese Studies, Chinese Language or related degree(s).
• Ability to teach Preschool, Speech & Drama, or language certification programmes.
• Excellent spoken and written Mandarin language.
• Positive, energetic and a good team player.
• Able to work on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mandarin classes in accordance with the Centre's programme.
• Lead and supervise team members under your responsibility.
• Conduct regular team meetings to air concerns and needs.
• Recommend solutions to solve problems and provide feedback to Head of Mandarin Department or Director.
• Identify long-term needs and growth of teachers, programmes, departments, students and parents.
• Assist and support Head of Mandarin Department in development of new programmes and projects.
• Support Head of Mandarin Department in day-to-day running of the department and programmes.
• Liaise with parents where necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education, Chinese Studies, Chinese Language or other related degrees from reputable universities
• Ability to teach Chinese Preschool, Speech & Drama, or Language certification programmes
