Job summary

Salling Search PTE. LTD. is seeking a Panamax Broker to manage dry bulk chartering across Singapore and China.

The role involves negotiating fixtures, building owner and charterer relationships, and delivering market insights to clients and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in Panamax broking, a strong network in SG and CN, and fluency in Mandarin. Diploma/degree in Maritime Studies or Business is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of dry bulk broking experience (Panamax)
• Established network of shipowners and charterers in Singapore and China
• Strong knowledge of charter party terms, freight market dynamics and vessel operations
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, ability to build client trust
• Mandarin proficiency to communicate with Chinese clients

Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate Panamax dry bulk charters between owners and charterers
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, charterers and brokers in SG/China
• Monitor freight market trends, vessel positions and cargo flows for opportunities
• Prepare and review charter party terms, fixture recaps and related docs
• Coordinate with operations to hand over fixed vessels smoothly and efficiently
• Provide market reports and commentary to clients and internal teams
