Job summary

OPTIMUM SOLUTIONS (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage and optimise Oracle database environments in Singapore. You will implement, monitor, and maintain Oracle RAC deployments, ensuring high availability and performance across complex systems.

The role requires strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, Perl), familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD, and experience with backup, recovery, and security auditing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
• Hands-on experience implementing and managing Oracle RAC environments.
• Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, performance tuning, and high availability.
• Proficiency in Shell, Python, or Perl for automation.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS or HIPAA compliance frameworks.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage, administer, and optimise Oracle database environments to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Implement, configure, and support Oracle RAC environments.
• Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle maintenance.
• Develop and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning.
• Automate routine database administration tasks using scripting and automation tools.
• Collaborate with application and development teams to support efficient database design and deployment.
• Implement database security controls, conduct security audits, and ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.

Requirements
