Job summary

UNIZEN TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to maintain high availability, perform health checks and manage migrations and patches across PROD/DR/DEV/QA/UAT environments.

You will ensure security, capacity planning and policy documentation, delivering reliable database services and rapid issue resolution while collaborating with users and vendors to meet service levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Oracle Database Administration experience across PROD/DR/DEV/QA/UAT.
• Strong expertise in Oracle versions 11g/12c/18c/19c.
• Experience with Oracle RAC 2/3/4 node clusters and data replication tools.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, performance issues, and security hardening.
• Proficient in Windows and Unix environments, and in generating DBA reports (AWR/ASH/ADDM).

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability and reliability of Oracle databases.
• Perform daily health checks, maintenance, and security self-assessments.
• Create/configure/migrate databases; apply patches and upgrades.
• Perform capacity planning and monitoring of performance.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to maintain high availability, perform health checks, and manage migrations and patches. You will ensure security, capacity planning, and policy documentation across PROD/DR/DEV/QA/UAT environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting Oracle Database environments PROD/DR/DEV/QA/UAT with minimum 5 years of experience.
• Strong experience in Database Administration in Oracle version (11g/12c/18C/19C)
• Experience in supporting high availability Oracle RAC environment (2/3/4 node clusters), Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Data Guard
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, connectivity issues, security issues
• Strong Knowledge in Operating systems like Windows and Unix
• Generating reports in Oracle database using tools like AWR, ASH, ADDM and manual scripts.
• Provide continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, historical and real time performance monitoring of the Oracle.
• Strong Experience of RMAN, expdp/impdp, Backup/Recovery
• Experience in evaluating and installing new software releases, patches, upgrade and Database cloning
• Experience in developing and executing database security policies, procedures
• Daily health monitoring of database system and data integrity checks
• Collect and analyse database performance information, identify and implement solutions for performance problems
• Experience with other RDBMS, NO SQL, cloud platforms will be added advantage
• Good communication skills English (written, spoken) and Documentation skills for processes and procedures (creating KBs, runbooks, topology)
• Work with users, vendors to take timely and appropriate steps to resolve and troubleshoot issues impacting service levels and conduct root cause analysis

• Perform database creation, configuration and migration, apply patches and technology upgrade to keep the databases at supported level

• Ensure that the database assets and systems are managed in accordance with the security policies and standards
• Responsible for documenting database related policy, architecture and design artefact.
• Provide technical expertise and solutions based on user requirements for database-related project.
