Job summary

GMP Technologies Singapore is seeking a skilled optics engineer to design, develop, and apply precision optics for vision systems and illumination. You will perform optical simulations, generate detailed documentation, and drive innovation in illumination technology.

Qualifications

• Degree or Masters or PhD in Physics/Optics or precision optics measurement instrument discipline with minimum 2 years experience in optics design and optical systems.
• Strong knowledge in optical and related mechanical design.
• Hands-on experience with various optical methodologies for optics performance testing.
• Proficient in English written and verbal communication.

• Design, development, and application of precision optics for vision systems.

Job description

• Design, development, and application of precision optics for vision system.
• Design & development of illumination system.
• Conduct optical simulations and ray-tracing analyses using specialized software.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and specifications for optical designs and test results.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in optics, photonics, and illumination technology to drive innovation and implement new methodologies.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers, to integrate optical designs seamlessly into larger projects.

Requirements

• Degree or Masters or PhD Degree in any Physic Optics / Precision optics measurement instrument discipline with minimum 2 years experience in optics design & optical systems.
• Strong knowledge in Optical and related mechanical design.
• Must have good hands-on different types of optical methodologies for optics performance testing.
• Good experience in Optics design software such as Zemax.
• Knowledge in Chromatic Aberrations, MTF, Precision measurement.
• Experience in lighting / illumination system and simulation is an added advantage.
• Proficient in English both Written and Verbal Communication.
