Job summary

Veolia ES Singapore Industrial Pte Ltd is seeking a Warehouse & Plant Support staff to join our Singapore operations. You will perform sampling and testing on packaging waste, assist in receipt, repack, bulking, and tagging chemicals for storage and retrieval, and help with equipment preparation for maintenance.

The role requires 1–2 years of relevant experience, a GCE N Level, and preferably a forklift license.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level certification with 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in chemical processing environment is an added advantage.
• Forklift license is a plus.
• Candidate must be prepared to work weekends and public holidays.
• An effective team player with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming sampling and testing on packaging waste (IBC/drums) per Pre-Acceptance report test parameters.
• Collaborate with laboratory, fleet management, and production for receipt, repack, bulking, and tagging chemicals for storage and retrieval.
• Perform unit start-up, shutdown, and plant turnaround activities at pre-treatment facilities.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance service.
• Conduct compatibility tests for bulking wastes.
• Provide support for waste retrieval in the warehouse using specified equipment on ad hoc basis.
• Pick up, load, and unload chemicals and drums.
• Receive, issue and stocktake materials/inventory.
• Ensure cleanliness and space optimization in the operations warehouse.
• Inspect safety equipment (fire extinguishers, spill kits, safety showers) regularly.

• Perform incoming sampling and testing on packaging waste e.g., IBC, drum, carboy with reference to the Pre-Acceptance report test parameters.




• Work closely with laboratory, fleet management, & production in areas of receipt, repack, and bulking as well as tagging chemicals for storage & retrieval for production.




• Perform unit start-up, shutdown and plant turnaround activities of pre-treatment facilities like shredder, bulking, etc.




• Prepare equipment for maintenance service.




• Perform compatibility tests for bulking wastes.




• Provide support for waste retrieval in the warehouse using specific equipment on an ad hoc basis.




• Pick up, load, and unload chemicals and drums.




• Receive, issue and stocktake materials/inventory.




• Ensure cleanliness and optimum space management within the operations warehouse.




• Perform regular inspections and ensure functionality of safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, spill kits, and safety showers.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level certification with 1 – 2 years of relevant work experience.




• Candidates without any relevant experience will be considered and training will be provided.




• Experience in working in a chemical processing environment will be an added advantage.
