Job summary

Singapore General Hospital is seeking an experienced Senior Executive / Senior Assistant Manager to own departmental operational tasks and lead cross-functional initiatives. You will coordinate governance, manage master project plans, and extract data to support clinical services and projects.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to run meetings, events, and internal communications with autonomy.

Qualifications

• Degree with preferably 2 to 3 years of working experience (for Senior Executives) or more than 5 years of working experience (for Senior / Assistant Manager).
• Proven ownership of departmental systems, preferably in healthcare/public sector or complex project environment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain rigour under pressure, and exercise sound judgement with autonomy.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems; experience with project trackers is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional communications and reports.
• Proactive, resourceful, discreet with interpersonal confidence across levels and with external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and supervise junior administrative staff.
• Experience in automation or digitalisation tools is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Manage department's operational tasks and ensure efficient, well-documented processes.
• Periodically refresh SOPs as projects evolve and identify operational gaps early.
• Serve as liaison across HR, Finance, IT, and Facilities.
• Own projects/initiatives with a master workplan tracker across workstreams.
• Collaborate with team leads to surface issues and produce progress reports.
• Extract, prepare and analyse data to support clinicians' services, projects or initiatives.
• Oversee governance rhythm and ensure structured meetings and follow-through.
• Coordinate end-to-end meetings: agendas, packs, minutes, live actions log.
• Lead end-to-end planning of events, workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Develop and disseminate departmental communications with clear key messages.
