Job summary

SSW Logistics Pte. Ltd. Singapore seeks an Operations Pharmacist to blend pharmacy expertise with data, technology and process improvement to redesign workflows, improve outcomes and drive digital transformation.

You will lead daily pharmacy operations, build analytics dashboards, partner with IT and vendors, and drive cross-functional projects to boost productivity, quality and patient experience across the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification recognised by the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
  • Full registration with the Singapore Pharmacy Council and in active practice.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, workflows, and process improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in data visualisation and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience in data analysis, dashboard development, and operational reporting is preferred.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, or other programming languages is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or digital transformation is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Pharmacy, IT, Operations, vendors, and other departments.
  • Curious, proactive, meticulous, adaptable, and willing to learn and develop new analytical and technological capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate and timely medication preparation and distribution.
  • Direct and deploy Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants and locum staff.
  • Manage workflow, manpower allocation, workload priorities and operational resources.
  • Coach staff, provide feedback and support training and competency development.
  • Monitor performance and address operational issues promptly.
  • Analyse operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to digitise and automate manual or repetitive processes.
  • Explore and apply automation, AI, and emerging technologies to solve operational challenges.
  • Partner with IT teams and vendors to implement and enhance pharmacy systems and solutions.
  • Act as Pharmacy System Superuser, supporting system adoption, user training, testing, and contingency workflows.
  • Lead or support strategic projects across Pharmacy and the wider organisation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on analytics, process improvement, digitalisation, and transformation initiatives.
  • Lead initiatives to improve productivity, quality, medication safety, turnaround time and cost efficiency.
  • Identify bottlenecks using data, observation and staff feedback.
  • Redesign workflows, SOPs, work instructions and operational processes.
  • Implement technology, automation, dashboards and other improvement solutions.
  • Measure outcomes and ensure improvements are sustainable.
  • Oversee inventory availability, accuracy, stock takes and resource utilisation.
  • Reduce wastage, overstocking, stock-outs and operational inefficiencies.
  • Lead the resolution of customer complaints and service issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the patient/customer experience.
  • Undertake ad hoc duties and special assignments as directed by management.
  • Provide cross-functional support to other teams and departments as required.
  • Assist with urgent operational requirements, projects, and initiatives to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

We are looking for a highly analytical, curious, and entrepreneurialOperations Pharmacistto play a key role in transforming how Pharmacy operates. This is more than a traditional pharmacy operations role, it is an opportunity to combine your pharmacy expertise withdata, technology, automation, and process improvementto redesign workflows, solve complex operational challenges, and create meaningful impact.

You will have theautonomy to identify opportunities, test new ideas, and lead improvements from concept to implementation. Working closely with Pharmacy, IT, vendors, and other business functions, you will turn operational challenges into practical solutions that improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and service outcomes.

The role offers exposure beyond traditional Pharmacy operations, with opportunities to contribute todigital transformation, analytics, AI, automation, and strategic cross-functional projectsacross the organisation.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Daily Operations & People Leadership
  • Lead daily pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate and timely medication preparation and distribution.
