Job summary

RJ Meat Supply is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operations at our Pasir Ris outlet. You will oversee store performance, staff, inventory, hygiene, and customer service to build a scalable, neighbourhood-ready butchery business.

The role requires 3–5 years in retail/meat/fmcg operations, prior supervisory experience, and the ability to manage FIFO/FEFO, staff rosters, and workflow in a fast-paced environment. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant retail, supermarket, meat, food-service or FMCG operational experience.
• Previous experience in a supervisory, assistant manager or operations management position preferred.
• Experience in a butchery, meat-processing, supermarket fresh-food department or similar environment will be highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, stock rotation and wastage management.
• Able to work weekends, public holidays and peak festive periods when required.
• Physically comfortable working within a meat retail and cold-storage environment.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the butchery.
• Ensure the outlet opens, operates and closes according to company procedures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, organisation and product presentation.
• Ensure equipment, cold rooms, chillers, freezers and work areas are properly maintained.
• Identify operational problems early and resolve them promptly.
