Job summary

The Lentor Residence Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Operations Manager for a new nursing home in Kaki Bukit, starting at the Macpherson/Hougang branch. You will assist the General Manager in leading the Operations Department and ensuring smooth daily operation.

Responsibility includes regulatory compliance, safety, and upkeep of building facilities, plus managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality resident care and efficient services.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Business, Building/Facilities Management or Engineering.
• 2+ years in a managerial role overseeing a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Nursing Home operations is a plus.
• Excellent coordination and people management abilities.
• Clear communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of the nursing home with health authorities and agencies.
• Ensure smooth delivery of facilities, laundry, housekeeping, security, fire safety, and transport.
• Oversee Workplace Safety including pandemic preparedness and fire drills.
• Maintain building health, safety and environment standards for residents, staff and visitors.
• Submit maintenance requests for environmental services and equipment as needed.
• Manage contracted vendors to meet business and operational needs.
• Work with kitchen and nursing leaders to meet daily operational needs.
• Develop and implement operations strategy and drive efficiency projects.
• Maintain SOPs and conduct regular audits.
• Plan and implement policies to achieve operational excellence.
• Streamline cross-department workflows and manage department budgets and staffing.
• Timely reporting and analysis of KPIs.

Job description

Looking for experienced Operations Manager for our new nursing home in Kaki Bukit. He/She will start work at existing branch located in Macpherson/Hougang.

The incumbent shall assist the General Manager in leading the Operations Department to ensure smooth daily operation of the nursing home.

This includes ensuring that the Nursing Home is in compliance with all regulatory, licensing, safety, and environmental requirements; as well as implementing measures to ensure that the physical integrity of the building structure, its appearance, and optimal functions meet the necessary standards.

• Manage and oversee the development of the nursing home in collaboration with health authorities and agencies.
• Ensure smooth delivery of the facilities, laundry, housekeeping, security, fire safety, and transportation services in the nursing home.
• Oversee Workplace Safety functions including pandemic preparedness, work with Fire Safety Manager in conducting fire drill etc.
• Ensure that adequate measures are taken to maintain and upkeep the building and environment so as to protect the health and safety of all residents, staff and visitors in the nursing home.
• Assess and submit both ongoing and emergent requests for the maintenance of environmental services and equipment.
• Engage and ensure service delivery of contracted vendors and services providers to meet business and operational requirements.
• Work with in-house kitchen leader in managing daily kitchen operations.
• Work with nursing leaders to ensure the logistical needs are met timely and efficiently.
• Develop and implement operations strategy for the nursing home, including but not limited to efficiency and productivity-related projects
• Maintain and upkeep operational SOP, conduct regular audits.
• Plan, communicate and implement policies, and ensure procedures meet operational excellence.
• Manage the streamlining of cross-department workflows and processes to maintain operational excellence.
• Manage and oversee the department's budgets and expenditures.
• Manage operations department manpower & duty roster.
• Timely reporting and analysis of KPIs.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma / Degree in Business/Building/Facilities Management/Engineering
• At least 2 years of managerial experience overseeing a team of subordinates
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Practical knowledge of Nursing Home’s operations would be an advantage
• Good coordination, interpersonal and people management skills
