Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own the overall performance and workflow of an assigned value stream.
• Plan and adjust manpower deployment based on workload and capacity.
• Maintain visibility of WIP and ensure progress according to plans.
• Identify constraints and work with teams to remove bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality to address issues and maintain flow.
• Track metrics like productivity, delivery, quality, labour utilisation, WIP and lead times.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement programs to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Establish shop-floor management practices, including visual controls.

Salary: Up to $11K/ month

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced operations leader to oversee the performance of a key value stream within an established aerospace MRO environment.

This position will play a critical role in ensuring that work progresses efficiently across the repair cycle, from initial disassembly through to pre-kitting. You will be responsible for balancing manpower and production priorities, improving workflow, resolving operational constraints and driving measurable improvements in productivity, turnaround time and resource utilisation.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Take ownership of the overall performance and workflow of an assigned value stream.
• Plan and adjust manpower deployment based on workload, priorities and capacity requirements.
• Maintain visibility of WIP and ensure work is progressing according to production plans.
• Identify constraints within the process and work with relevant teams to remove bottlenecks.
• Partner closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to address operational issues and maintain smooth workflow.
• Track key operational indicators including productivity, delivery performance, quality, labour utilisation, WIP and turnaround time.
• Analyse recurring production issues, determine root causes and implement practical corrective actions.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement programmes aimed at improving flow and reducing waste.
• Introduce and sustain effective shop-floor management practices, including visual controls and workplace organisation.
• Identify opportunities to shorten process lead times and improve overall throughput.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in a people-management or shop-floor leadership capacity.
• Solid experience in a manufacturing, repair or MRO environment.
• Exposure to aerospace or aviation MRO will be highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
