Job summary

ABB seeks an experienced Operations leader to oversee the Offshore Solutions division's operations, including project management, engineering, site management, quality and safety. You will drive continuous improvement, budget planning, and risk management while aligning actions with strategic targets.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with Sales, and ensure delivery with high reliability and optimal working capital. A strong engineering or business background is essential.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in operations management for multi-scope system delivery projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full scope of Operations including project management and control, engineering, site management, quality, continuous improvement and planning.
• Develop business action plans aligned with strategy and targets for the units.
• Monitor plan implementation and deviations for corrective action; prepare annual budget and manage resources.
• Lead programs, projects, goals and metrics to maximize operational performance and optimize working capital.
• Assess risks and safety hazards, ensuring health, safety and integrity standards.
• Support Sales to translate customer requirements into operational solutions.

You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring strict adherence within the Operations with respect to policies and required health, safety, and integrity standards.This role contributes to the Offshore Solutions Business within ABB's Energy Industries Division, which serves as the global center of excellence for ABB.Monitoring plan implementation and tracking any deviations for corrective action.Preparing annual budget, overseeing progress, and determining measures to address cost-related issues as necessary, to manage operations within the allocated budget and resources.Developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations.Ensuring that the organization takes into account an overall value chain perspective to meet customer expectations as per agreed quality, service levels, and lead time.Ensuring a thorough understanding and fosters a culture of continuous improvement behaviors, methodology, and processes within the organizationAssessing risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety.Providing support to Sales staff to improve their understanding of customer requirements, enabling them to identify potential constraints and proposes solutions from an operational point of view.Qualifications for the roleAround 15 years of professional experience in operations management for system delivery projects with multi scope.University degree in an engineering discipline or finance/business administrationExperience in working in international environments with different cultures and languages, and managing stakeholders of varying management levelsExcellent interpersonal and leadership abilities, with a proven track record in guiding teams through change and fostering both people and process development.
