Responsibilities:
- Process daily trade settlement across assigned markets/products within same-day cut-off times.
- Process corporate action notifications, elections, and entitlements, including during high volume earnings periods.
- Handle incoming/outgoing share transfers, including counterparty follow-up and matching.
- Process client deposits, withdrawals, and currency conversions, including exception handling.
- Perform daily trust account and custody/position reconciliation; escape unresolved breaks.
- Monitor transactions for AML/CFT red flags and elevate as necessary.
- Act as day-to-day contact point for clients/counterparties; log and triage complaints.
- Prepare accurate daily/monthly operational and regulatory reports.
- Maintain transaction records and documentation for audit readiness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- Relevant CMFAS certifications (e.g., Modules 1A, 6) preferred, or willingness to obtain
- within an agreed timeframe.
- 1–3 years of experience in securities operations, back-office, or a similar processing role within a brokerage, custodian, or capital markets services entity;
- Experience in (e.g., CFD, futures, exchange direct clearing membership) is a strong plus
- Understanding of securities settlement, corporate actions, or cash operations processes; multi-market exposure (SG, HK, US) is a plus.
- Comfortable working with standard office productivity tools (Excel, email-based workflows).
- High attention to detail and comfort working within firm cut-off times and deadlines, including periods of elevated volume (e.g., earnings season for corporate actions).
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients, counterparties, and custodians.
- Ability to follow documented SOPs precisely while flagging exceptions and escalating issues appropriately
