Job summary

SIME DARBY AUTO SELECTION LIMITED in Singapore is seeking an Operations Assistant (Vehicle Logistic) to provide end-to-end operational and administrative support, ensuring efficient vehicle turnover from VRN to showroom readiness.

You will assess incoming vehicles, perform quality checks, coordinate refurbishment with internal teams and vendors, and maintain accurate records while supporting stock takes and movement tracking. 12-month contract with completion bonus.

Qualifications

• GCE ‘N’ Level or equivalent.
• Possess a valid Class 3 Driving License.
• Minimum 1 year experience in automotive operations or related field.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Detail-oriented with strong coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess incoming vehicles for retail suitability and perform quality checks before and after refurbishment.
• Testdrive traded-in vehicles using a checklist, record findings, and take clear photos for documentation.
• Coordinate refurbishment and reconditioning work with internal teams and external vendors.
• Validate repair scope before workshop release and follow up on add-on jobs.
• Ensure showroom standards for cleanliness, condition, and readiness before handover.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Operations Assistant (Vehicle Logistic), you’ll provide end-to-end operational and administrative support to ensure efficient vehicle turnaround from VRN to showroom readiness, while maintaining strong cost control, quality standards, and accurate tracking.

• Assess incoming vehicles for retail suitability and perform quality checks before and after refurbishment
• Testdrive traded-in vehicles using a checklist, record findings, and take clear photos for documentation
• Coordinate refurbishment and reconditioning work with internal teams and external vendors
• Validate repair scope before workshop release and follow up on add-on jobs
• Escalate quality issues promptly and ensure timely rework where required
• Receive vehicle arrivals and support system updates, working closely with Planner to meet turnaround targets
• Ensure all vehicles meet showroom standards in cleanliness, condition, and technical readiness before handover to Retail team
• Manage delivery packs before handover to Retail team
• Ensure accurate vehicle location tracking
• Liaise and coordinate vehicle movements with stakeholders
• Monitor vehicle movements efficiency, quality, and turnaround time
• Support stock takes and inventory tracking activities
• Maintain daily records including PDI tracking, QC checks, and movement logs with proper photo documentation
• Assist with sourcing cost-effective parts from vendors, manage cost and efficiency of vehicle refurbishment and movement
• Manage loan car records and prepare vehicle documentation (condition, mileage, accessories, damages)
• Support audits, events, and participate in sales/carnival activities
• Perform ad hoc operational duties as assigned

• 5.25 Work Week (Alternate Saturday)
• GCE ‘N’ Level or equivalent
• Possess a valid Class 3 Driving License
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Minimum 1 year experience in automotive operations or related fieldGood communication and teamwork
• Detail-oriented with strong coordination skills
