Job summary

SPEMOCEAN PTE LTD in Singapore seeks an experienced Commissioning and Production Readiness Engineer to lead CSU activities, develop MDR documents, and ensure safe startup execution. You will coordinate with Client teams, drive readiness plans, and provide on-site guidance through commissioning and start-up phases.

The role requires deep oil & gas commissioning experience, strong risk/safety management, and proven ability to produce MDR documentation for contractual compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical, Oil & Gas, Materials or related engineering.
• Minimum 10 years in commissioning, production readiness, and plant start-up for oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of CSU workflows for international projects, especially Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Sort out technical activities related to production readiness, including execution procedures for production-readiness and commissioning-start-up plans.
• Develop MDR documents for production readiness; guide team members in preparing and delivering technical documents to meet the Client's technical requirements and project contractual obligations.
• Attend weekly, monthly and other relevant meetings for production-readiness activities and report work progress.
• Provide guidance and training on technical content and execution skills for project production-readiness, commissioning and start-up activities.
• Liaise with the Client's commissioning and Operational Readiness teams; represent the contractor's OR commissioning team in communications with the Client, capture technical requirements and feedback progress.
• Participate in various workshops, technical exchanges, solution reviews and other relevant meetings.
• Provide on-site guidance and supervision during production-readiness, commissioning and start-up phases; ensure CSU team completes all work activities under safe conditions.

Job description

Responsibilities

1. Sort out technical activities related to production readiness, including execution procedures for production-readiness and commissioning-start-up plans, resource requirements, oilfield ramp-down/ramp-up, input prerequisites for commissioning, start-up and operation, as well as overall oilfield operation logic.
2. Develop MDR documents for production readiness; guide team members in preparing and delivering technical documents to meet the Client's technical requirements and project contractual obligations.
3. Attend weekly, monthly and other relevant meetings for production-readiness activities and report work progress.
4. Provide guidance and training on technical content and execution skills for project production-readiness, commissioning and start-up activities.
5. Liaise on a day-to-day basis with the Client's commissioning and Operational Readiness teams / personnel. Represent the contractor's OR commissioning team in communications with the Client, capture technical requirements and feedback implementation progress.
6. Participate in various workshops, technical exchanges, solution reviews and other relevant meetings.
7. Provide on-site guidance and supervision during the project's production-readiness, commissioning and start-up phases. Ensure the CSU team completes all work activities under safe conditions.

2. Technical Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Oil & Gas, Materials or relatet engineering disciplines.
2. Work Experience: Minimum 10-year working experience in commissioning, production readiness and plant start-up for oil-and-gas projects.
3. Technical Competency: Well-versed in execution workflows for international projects, particularly Middle-East projects. Possess solid hand-on experience for CSU activities; proven track-record in preparing CSU-related MDR documentation; competent in CSU risk identification and safety management.
