Job summary

RECRUITPEDIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Operational Pharmacist to lead pharmacy operations within a healthcare supply chain setting in Singapore West.

You will supervise pharmacists, technicians, and support staff to ensure safe, compliant and efficient day-to-day operations. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, be registered in Singapore, with experience in operations, staffing, medication safety, SOPs, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or related field.
• Registered pharmacist with Singapore licensing.
• Experience in pharmacy operations, supervision, and staff management.
• Strong knowledge of medication safety, regulatory requirements, and SOPs.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pharmacy staff and technicians to ensure smooth operations.
• Plan and manage manpower schedules for daily operations.
• Monitor staffing levels and performance metrics against targets.
• Oversee preparation and distribution of medications with regulatory compliance.
• Review and improve SOPs, work instructions, and related documentation.
• Support medication safety audits and implement improvements.
• Contribute to quality improvement projects across pharmacy operations.
• Assist in training programs and competency assessments for staff.
• Oversee inventory management including stock control and cycle counts.
• Manage controlled drugs documentation, reconciliation, and disposal.
• Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery initiatives.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the supervision and management of pharmacy staff, including technicians, assistants, and temporary staff, to ensure smooth operations.
• Plan and manage manpower schedules to maintain seamless day-to-day pharmacy operations.
• Assist in monitoring staffing levels and performance metrics to meet departmental targets.
• Oversee preparation and distribution of medications, ensuring compliance with operational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in reviewing and improving operational workflows, SOPs, work instructions, and related documentation.
• Support medication safety audits and recommend changes to enhance quality and compliance.
• Support quality improvement projects and initiatives across pharmacy operations.
• Contribute to the development, review, and delivery of training programs and competency assessments for pharmacy staff.
• Oversee inventory management, including stock control, periodic cycle counts, and annual stocktake.
• Support the management of controlled drugs, including receipt, documentation, inventory reconciliation, and disposal.
• Assist in managing customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery initiatives.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Science (Pharmacy) or or related field.
• Registered pharmacist with relevant Singapore licensing.
• Experience in pharmacy operations, supervision, and staff management.
• Strong knowledge of medication safety, regulatory requirements, and operational SOPs.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
