Job summary

MNC in waste management solutions in the West region of Singapore is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily office and depot activities, ensure safe and efficient workflows, and lead a field operations team.

You will manage fleet scheduling, maintenance, and driver supervision, drive process improvements, and deliver performance updates to management. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on problem solving in a regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in operations management in waste management or related field.
• Strong fleet, logistics, and team supervision experience.

Job title: Operations Manager

Location: West region

Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon-Fri: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Sat: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM)

Benefits: $1,000 Transport Allowance + 1-month AWS, 12 days Annual Leave (scaling up to 16 days), 14 days Medical Leave

Responsibilities:

• Operations & Depot Management: Oversee daily activities at the Singapore office and depot to ensure safe, smooth, and efficient workflows.
• Fleet & Logistics Control: Manage the lorry/truck fleet, scheduling, utilization, routine inspections, maintenance, and breakdown resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, allocate work, and coach drivers and operational staff to meet target KPIs and maintain high safety/quality standards.
• Process Optimization & Compliance: Continuously improve operational workflows, manage depot materials/chemicals, handle on-site technical issues, and ensure strict safety and regulatory compliance.
• Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular operational and performance updates to management.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, with proven operations management expertise in waste management, sanitation, environmental services, or a related industry.
• Core Competencies: Strong background in fleet management, vehicle maintenance, truck scheduling, and supervising operational staff.
• Personal Traits: Strong leadership, independent problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a willingness to be hands‑on when managing field issues.
