Job summary

CORESTAFF PTE. LTD. Singapore is recruiting a Transport Manager to lead daily transportation and fleet operations, ensuring timely service delivery across multiple routes.

You will manage a large team of around 150 staff including supervisors, planners and drivers, oversee route planning, budgets and KPI reporting, and maintain SLAs with key customers while ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in transport or logistics operations.
• Experience leading large operational teams and coordinating multiple functions.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management, route planning and driver deployment.
• Familiar with Singapore transport regulations and safety requirements.

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established Singapore-based logistics and transportation company with a strong international presence. Specialising in high-value equipment transportation, engineering logistics and integrated supply chain solutions, the company supports major industries including semiconductor, manufacturing and technology.

They are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead their transportation operations, optimise fleet performance and drive operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily transportation and fleet operations to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.

• Manage a large operational team of approximately 150 employees, including transport supervisors, planners, fleet supervisors and drivers.

• Oversee fleet utilisation, route planning, manpower deployment and resource allocation.

• Manage key customer accounts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual requirements are met.

• Monitor operational KPIs, productivity, transportation costs and overall service performance.

• Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to supervisors and operational staff.

• Maintain strong engagement with drivers and team members to address operational challenges and staff concerns.

• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, workplace safety standards and company policies.

• Investigate operational issues, customer complaints and incidents, implementing corrective actions.

• Manage operational budgets, control costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

• Work closely with customers, vendors and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.

• Prepare operational reports, performance reviews and forecasts for management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation Management, Business or related disciplines.

• Minimum 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in transport, fleet management or logistics operations.

• Proven experience in managing transport operations and leading operational teams.

• Strong knowledge of fleet management, route planning, driver deployment and resource allocation.

• Experience in customer account management, SLA monitoring and operational cost control.

• Good understanding of Singapore transport regulations and workplace safety requirements.

• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) is an advantage.

• Experience in heavy haulage, specialised transportation, engineering logistics or 3PL operations will be an added advantage.
