Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a DevOps Engineer (OpenStack) to design, automate and run a secure, scalable OpenStack cloud in Singapore. You will integrate Kubernetes/OpenShift, enhance monitoring and security, and drive AI-assisted workflows to speed up operations.

Responsibilities include building OpenStack infrastructure, automating day-two ops, and mentoring teammates, with a focus on reliability, uptime, and scalable platform changes in a modern, global engineering culture.

Qualifications

• OpenStack administration in production environments.
• Kubernetes and container platform integrations.
• RHEL administration and troubleshooting.
• Automation using Python, Ansible or similar tooling.
• Infrastructure as code using Terraform or equivalents.
• Monitoring and observability with Prometheus and Elastic Stack.
• Familiarity with virtualization like VMware ESXi.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Red Hat OpenStack cloud infrastructure.
• Automate deployment, configuration and day-two operations.
• Integrate OpenStack with Kubernetes and OpenShift to support container platforms.
• Troubleshoot platform issues; lead root cause analysis.
• Improve availability, security and performance; monitor and harden.
• Plan and deliver platform changes including upgrades.
• Build AI-assisted operational workflows using OpenStack APIs.
• Create and maintain runbooks and mentor teammates.
