Job summary

Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is seeking a skilled Container Platform Engineer to join the Platform Architecture and Engineering (PAE) team. You will oversee OpenShift operations, automate deployments, and drive reliability for mission‑critical systems.

You will manage cluster upgrades, capacity, incident response, and documentation, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with enterprise stakeholders across projects.

Qualifications

• 3–15 years of experience managing container platforms, specifically OpenShift.
• Experience administering multiple container platforms (AKS, EKS, etc.).
• Proficient in Linux and Windows server administration.
• Experience deploying OpenShift clusters on‑premises and in AWS.
• Experience writing Ansible playbooks is a plus.
• Experience in enterprise environments managing multiple OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters.
• Scripting skills (Shell, Python, Perl) for automation are desirable.
• Experience implementing OpenShift compliance against CIS or other frameworks.
• Organized, independent, and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-changing environment.
• Team player with strong communication and stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of Container Platform administration for business‑critical systems, including cluster deployment, patching, configuration, migration, version upgrades, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Handle cluster capacity management and provisioning through automation of underlying hosts.
• Provide L2/L3 operational and engineering support, including incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution.
• Create and maintain system documentation, playbooks, and configuration records for the Container platform.
• Lead platform changes through the change process and report status to stakeholders.
• Monitor service levels and implement continuity measures, including backup/restore and disaster recovery planning.
• Mentor junior staff and vendor personnel on procedural matters.
