Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer in Platform Engineering to design and lead multi-cluster container foundations on OpenShift/Kubernetes in AWS, focusing on resiliency, security, and developer velocity for national-scale Singpass products.

You will drive platform architecture, implement zero-trust networking, IaC with Terraform/OpenTofu, and GitOps with ArgoCD, while mentoring engineers and setting technical standards across teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software/platform engineering
• 3+ years architecting and operating mission-critical Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms
• Experience with Istio service mesh and workload identity systems

Responsibilities

• Architect multi-cluster OpenShift/Kubernetes infrastructure on AWS with zero downtime
• Drive security and compliance with IAM, mTLS, and egress controls
• Build self-service workflows with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps pipelines
• Mentor engineers and establish engineering standards across teams
