Job summary

GA Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee WSHE on construction sites. You will lead the Safety team and subcontractors, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with MOM regulations, focusing on safe work practices and incident investigation.

The role requires WSHO and ECO registrations, a diploma/degree in safety, and at least 5 years of local experience with a main contractor. A 6-day work week is typical in this role.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree holder or equivalent in Workplace Safety and Health.
• WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health is preferred.
• Valid WSHO and ECO registrations are required.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Project Manager and responsible for all workplace safety, health and environmental issues on site.
• Oversee and lead the Safety team and subcontractors in implementing safety systems and WSHE plans.
• Monitor safety and health of workers on site.
• Lead site inspections to ensure safe work procedures.
• Prepare monthly WSHE data and statistics for management reports.
• Attend and present Safety Aspects in Progress meetings.
• Manage site Biometric access and E-PTW systems.
• Investigate accidents and unsafe practices and recommend remedial actions.
• Carry out risk assessments and maintain high safety standards and housekeeping.
• Lead safety induction and daily toolbox talks.
• Participate in ISO and GGBS implementation and audits.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
