Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is assisting a leader in the semiconductor industry to hire a Process Technician for a 12-month contract based at the NUS Engineering School in Singapore.

The role emphasizes supporting process development experiments (ALD, CVD, thermal processing) and hands-on laboratory work, including substrate preparation and equipment maintenance. Candidates should hold a relevant diploma and have some lab experience with thin-film processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a materials, chemical, or engineering discipline.
• Hands-on experience in thin-film deposition or semiconductor processing preferred.
• Familiarity with deposition techniques like ALD, CVD, or thermal processing is advantageous.
• Experience with material characterization methods such as SEM/EDX/Raman/PL/ellipsometry is a plus.
• Exposure to 2D materials is desirable; maintain safe lab practices.

Responsibilities

• Support process development experiments involving ALD, CVD, thermal processing and related thin-film deposition.
• Perform material characterization using SEM, EDX, Raman, PL and Ellipsometry.
• Prepare substrates, chemicals, precursors, and consumables for experiments.
• Assist in operating and maintaining process tools and laboratory equipment.
• Document experimental results, run logs, SOPs, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements including safe chemical and gas handling.
• Support process optimization and continuous improvement for 2D materials development.

• Support process development experiments involving ALD, CVD, thermal processing, and related thin-film deposition techniques.

• Perform material characterization using SEM, EDX, Raman, PL, and Ellipsometry.

• Prepare substrates, chemicals, precursors, and consumables for experiments.

• Assist in operating and maintaining process tools and laboratory equipment.

• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, including safe chemical and gas handling.

Requirements

• Diploma in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in thin-film deposition, semiconductor processing, or materials research is preferred.

• Experience with ALD, CVD, or thermal processing is advantageous.

• Familiarity with characterization techniques such as SEM, EDX, Raman, PL, and Ellipsometry is a plus.

• Exposure to 2D materials (e.g., MoS₂, WS₂, WSe₂, or other TMDs) is desirable.

• Basic understanding of cleanroom practices, chemical safety, gas handling, and laboratory protocols.

• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
