Job summary

Trust Recruit Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Oil Trading Operations professional in Singapore. You will manage physical oil trading activities, coordinate vessel movements, and review contracts to ensure compliance with terms and documentation.

The role requires at least five years of relevant experience, strong coordination skills, and the ability to liaise with suppliers, terminals and surveyors to ensure smooth cargo flows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Oil Trading Operations, Chartering or Physical Oil Trading.
• Experience in field oil operations or vessel chartering is a MUST.
• Experience in commodity trading is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of physical cargo operations including vessel nomination and loading/discharge.
• Familiar with sales & purchase contracts, trade documentation and cargo insurance.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage physical oil trading operations, including inventory management and cargo discharge.
• Ensure accurate capture of trade information in the trading system/books.
• Prepare and review sales and purchase contracts with counterparties.
• Coordinate with suppliers, terminals, vessel clearance and cargo movements.
• Liaise with surveyors, port agents and service providers for cargo readiness and movements.
• Monitor demurrage claims and related operational expenses, including payments.
• Prepare cargo insurance declarations based on shipment details.
• Maintain up-to-date trade, shipping and operational documents.
• Monitor progress of cargo movements and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
