Job summary

Trafigura Group in Singapore seeks a logistics professional to manage end-to-end operational execution of oil trades, from recap to completion, including STS transfers, storage movements and blending activities.

You will coordinate with traders, chartering, agents and surveyors to ensure smooth cargo execution, optimize plans, control costs and identify risks early for timely trade completion.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of operational experience in oil trading
• Experience in Fuel/Gas oil cargo execution
• Blending experience is advantageous
• Ability to optimize plans, manage costs and multi-cargo handling
• Strong problem solving and risk mitigation
• Excellent coordination with counterparties
• Strong communication and numeral literacy

Job description

Main Purpose

Commercial physical fuel/gas oil logistics operations and trader support. Possibly supporting other Product desks in the future. Co-ordinates all aspects of the post-deal trading activity to ensure contract execution runs smoothly. Provide commercial/market information to the trader as necessary. Co-ordinate shipping/logistics in order to effect the trade successfully. Assists in the research of new business opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 3-5 years of operational experience in oil trading, with experience in Fuel or Gas oil cargo execution and
• Experience in blending will be an advantage.
• Ability to optimize operational plans, manage costs and handle multiple cargoes in a fast-paced environment
• Problem solving ability to manage operational challenges and mitigate risks
• Ability to establish good working relationships with relevant counterparties
• Strong communication skills and numeral literacy are very important.
