Job summary

Trafigura Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a contract role focused on commercial petrochemicals operations and trader support. You will coordinate post-deal activities, shipping and logistics, and provide market information to traders to ensure timely contract execution.

The role requires 3–5 years in olefins/aromatics operations, deep sea vessel and pipeline scheduling, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of olefins and aromatics operations experience.
• Experience in deep sea vessel operations, STS/lightering, barge, rail car operations and pipeline scheduling.
• Knowledge of ethylene, butadiene, crude C4, propylene and raffinate would be advantageous.
• Strong ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Supply and stock management, forecasting and coordination with counterparties.
• Excellent communication and numerical literacy; analytical mindset and commercial instinct.
• Able to plan, coordinate and liaise on tight logistics deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and forecast supply and stock management of petrochemicals products in Asia Pacific.
• Coordinate with inspector, agents, ship brokers, trade counterparties, storage terminals and internal departments to ensure smooth physical operations.
• Minimize costs and optimize operations; establish good working relationships with counterparties.

Job description

This is a contract role.

Main Purpose

Commercial petrochemicalsoperations and trader support. Possibly supporting other product desks in the future. Co-ordinates all aspects of the post-deal trading activity to ensure contract execution runs smoothly. Provide commercial/market information to the trader as necessary. Co-ordinate shipping/logistics in order to effect the trade successfully. Assists in the research of new business opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• At least 3-5 years of olefins and aromatics operations and relevant experience in deep sea vessel operations, STS/lightering operations, barge operations, rail car operations and pipeline scheduling.
• Products knowledge such ethylene, butadiene, crude C4, propylene and raffinate.
• Good knowledge of petrochemicalsoperations is critical.
• Ability to be flexible and work to deadlines and under pressure
• Management of Supply and Stock – supply planning, progression and forecasting
• Ability to establish good working relationships with relevant counterparties
• Strong communication skills and numeral literacy are very important.
• Analytical and possesses commercial instinct
• Good coordination and planning skills to liaise on tight logistics deadlines

Key Responsibilities
