Job summary

PH Hydraulics & Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design a wide range of customized equipment for offshore installations, ensuring performance, reliability, and on-time delivery within a team.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree with 3+ years of design experience, is proficient in AutoCAD and 3D modeling, skilled in FEA, and comfortable liaising with customers on technical specs while following ABS/DNV/BV standards.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years' experience in design of heavy mechanical structures and drive systems
Independent in design and liaise with customer on technical specs and requirement.
Good personality and willing to take on challenges
Display good teamwork and communication skills
Proficient in AutoCAD with ability to produce detailed Production Engineering drawings
Proficient with 3D modeling and finite element analysis
Experienced in mechanical engineering calculations and component selection
Experienced with ABS/DNV/BV class codes and standards
Experienced with FMECA documentation and report writing

Responsibilities

Design a wide range of customized mechanical equipment mainly for offshore installations
Direct accountability in managing individual efficiency and on schedule completion of work
Work within a team setting and manage all functions to accomplish the tasks within the planned timing schedule
Work closely with the Sales, Projects and Operations departments
Adhere to design and process systems in accordance with ISO 9001 guidelines
