Responsibilities

  • Support daily logistics operations by managing import demurrage matters.

  • Maintain container movement records in internal systems and Portnet.
  • Coordinate direct gate-in requests and overlanded unit nominations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of logistics processes and service delivery.

As an Officer, Logistics, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for supporting MSC's logistics operations in Singapore. This role offers valuable exposure to container logistics, equipment management, and customer service while providing opportunities to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across the shipping and logistics network.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Logistics, you will support daily logistics operations by managing import demurrage matters, responding to customer enquiries, and ensuring accurate operational records. You will also work closely with various stakeholders to facilitate efficient container movement and equipment control. Your key responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage and respond to consignee, hauler, and port‑of‑loading enquiries relating to demurrage charges and return yard arrangements.
  • Coordinate survey arrangements and follow up on container damage cases with terminals, depots, surveyors, and the Claims team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Update container movement records in internal systems (OVA) and maintain accurate storing orders in Portnet to support operational readiness.
  • Coordinate customer requests for direct gate‑in arrangements and facilitate the timely resolution of overlanded unit nominations.
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy and operational compliance while supporting continuous improvements in logistics processes and service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
