Job summary

Flexport in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Ocean Freight leader to manage a sizeable P&L, drive trade strategy, and secure regional and global clients through close collaboration with District GMs, Sales, and Procurement.

This role requires a decade of Ocean Freight experience, strategic execution, strong communication, and the ability to travel regionally; you will interface with pricing and fulfillment teams to optimize profitability.

Qualifications

• 10 years of Ocean Freight experience or 5+ years in supply chain with leadership potential.
• Strategic vision and execution capabilities.
• Bias to action, process, structure and data.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally.
• Desire to lead, train, and develop talent.

Responsibilities

• Manage a sizeable Ocean P&L for the district and scale volume.
• Drive trade strategy execution and interfacing with clients.
• Grow client base through collaboration with District GMs, Sales, and Account Management.
• Review Salesforce pipeline to define action plans and target opportunities.
• Design products and go-to-market strategies for clients.
• Own tenders and RFQs to secure regional/global clients.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Pricing to drive profitable business.
• Monitor volume and booking intake against commitments.
