Job summary

TCI Express Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Ocean Freight Sales Leader to drive growth across global trade lanes. You will own the SGD 2 million monthly target, lead strategic initiatives, and manage end-to-end import/export operations with a focus on service excellence.

Ideal candidate brings 10+ years in ocean freight, leadership experience, and strong networks with shipping lines and freight forwarders to maximise revenue and profitability. Singapore-based role with global scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with strong domain knowledge.
• Track record of driving ocean freight growth, sales and profitability.
• Deep knowledge of Incoterms, customs, import/export docs and regulatory compliance.
• Extensive network with shipping lines, freight forwarders and agents.
• Proven leadership in senior management roles with strategic focus.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to grow Ocean Freight and achieve targets.
• Own the SGD 2 million monthly sales target, including planning and pipeline development.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, lines, NVOCCs and agents.
• Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, tenders, and commercial agreements.
• Review major quotations, tenders, and new customer accounts.
• Monitor market trends, freight rates, and competitor activities.
• Oversee end-to-end ocean freight operations, ensuring efficiency and satisfaction.
• Establish and improve SOPs, service standards and compliance with regulations.
